Dr. Mehran Golpariani
Dr. Mehran Golpariani is the director of Pain Management of Long Island. He earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and after completing his residency in Anesthesiology at Montefiore Medical Center, Dr. Golpariani completed a fellowship in Pain Management at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan. Subsequent to completion of his residency and fellowship program, Dr. Golpariani went back to Montefiore Medical Center Pain Management Program where he first served as an attending and Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and then became the Director of the Montefiore Medical Center Pain Management Program, which was one of the first such programs of its kind in the country. Subsequently , Dr. Golpariani relocated to Long Island, where he started his own private practice in Port Jefferson, NY. Dr. Golpariani is affiliated with the Weiss Center for Pain Management at Mather Memorial Hospital as well as St. Charles Hospital. Dr. Golpariani is Board Certified in Pain Management as well as Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Heather Prussen, Physician Assistant
Heather Prussen is a Physician Assistant who graduated from St. John’s University with honors in May of 2012. She has been practicing medicine avidly with a passion for learning new and innovative ways to treat patients. Being a Physician Assistant allows her to perform joint injections, trigger point injections, diagnose and treat patients, and prescribe medication. She has compassion for every patient she sees and always has the patient’s best interest in mind while creating a treatment plan that both she and the patient can agree upon. She is also an active member of the Nassau County Medical Corps, through which she volunteers during the Long Island marathon, the Victory Games for the physically and mentally challenged, and also during any natural disaster. She is proud of her accomplishments as a PA and is happy to be working autonomously as well as in conjunction with Dr. Golpariani to produce the best outcomes for her patients.
